The process of requesting a quote and scheduling was done easily and quickly. I expected one of the trees would be a challenge, but their skill and expertise made it look easy. And they did a great job on cleanup. Very happy!Posted on Google SportTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Unbelievable services. Very professional and thorough. Had 5 large trees removed. The lawn looks better then when they arrived. Highly recommendPosted on Google Steve Van MaldegiamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Reached out to Russ’s Tree service for a quote. Terry was here in under 30 minutes. We had our neighbors pine tree broken at the base and leaning on our garage roof. Terry took a look and explained that the tree was dead and there was basically nothing in the trunk. Their office sent us a statement of work and a quote quickly and told me that their insurance certificate will follow. We reviewed their quote with my neighbor and I signed their agreement. That was about 2:30 yesterday. They were here at 8:15 am and started. You can tell these guys worked together for a long time. The 80ft tree off my roof, down, cut up, cleaned up and gone by 9:45. Other then the spot were the pine was you can’t tell anyone was even here. I give this company 5 stars. Thank you guys for a great job.Posted on Google Callie HellandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Terry was great. Job was done quickly and thoroughly.Posted on Google Alex ClauffTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Terry came in with a very efficient crew of three. Very easy to talk to and reasonable/competitive pricing. He’s been doing this for, I think he said 35 years, and he’s not just quoting jobs. He’s still doing the work, too. His son was fantastic at climbing the tree and cutting it down limb by limb. I think it was his wife who handled the phone calls, Jennifer, who was pleasant to talk to. Family business. So great to see these days. The best part, aside from them being in and out in less than 4 hours, was the turnaround time from when I received a quote to when they arrived at my house, which was just under 3 weeks! Other quotes I received were either 8-10 weeks out or they just never even got back to me. If you have a tree that you need down, look no further. Thank you, Terry!Posted on Google Ron DeutschTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Needed a medium-big damaged ash bore tree taken down in our backyard. Terry and his crew had the tree down, out of the yard and stump ground down in a hour and a half. They also did a great clean up job at the end. It was great because our dogs only had to be in the house a very short time from beginning to end. Great Job!Posted on Google Duane HinnersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 6/9/2026 Russ’s Tree Service A wind burst snapped our 60’ Honey Locust at the roots and left it hanging, entangled in the trees along the property line. Big mess. Dangerous work. Impressive to watch Terry and his team stablize the huge branches with rigging tied to machinery they carefully controlled so the limbs could not snap back at anyone. Three guys - one driving the machinery, one sawing, one keeping the work site safe and clean - finished the job in two hours. Work done safely. Work site left spic and span. A five star job. Hire Terry’s team. You’ll be glad you did. Linda & Duane HinnersPosted on Google Roberta YaccarinoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Terry and his crew did an amazing job!!! A great well oiled machine. I was a little anxious about the location of the tree to be removed. It was tight quarters. They made it look easy. Left our yard exactly the way they found it minus a tree and a neatly piled up of mulch from the stump grinding, not a leaf or stick behind. They were quick, courteous and price was very reasonable. I would recommend them it anyone. Thanks Russ's Tree Service.Posted on Google Diane CzechTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I don't normally go online to do reviews, but we were so pleased with all of our dealings with Russ's Tree Service that we felt others looking for great service would appreciate it. Russ has very fair pricing, open lines of communication and patience (Thanks Jen), impressive machinery for quick and safe tree takedown, and a great team that does a quick job of cutting up the limbs and doing a thorough cleanup of all debris. It shows that they take great pride in the work they do! We've used Russ's services twice now, and both times have been extremely happy with the work they have done. We highly recommend them!Posted on Google deb QSTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Talked to a few tree services and Russ was the only one that gave us a quote on exactly what we asked them to do. Unlike the others they wanted to take down more branches than what we asked them for, which is frustrating. We had a timeline for our daughter‘s wedding to get these done and get some landscaping done and they very kindly accommodated our timeframe. They were able to drop our tree And a large tree, limb without hurting any part of our garden or our backyard. Would highly recommend them
The principles that guide every job we do, from the first phone call to the final clean-up.
Tree work is dangerous when it’s not done right. Our certified arborists follow strict safety practices on every job, protecting your property, our crew, and everyone around us.
No hidden fees, no pressure tactics just clear, fair estimates so you know exactly what to expect before we start.
Storms and emergencies don’t wait for business hours. That’s why we offer true 24/7 availability, so you’re never left waiting when a tree becomes a hazard.
From the first cut to the final clean-up, we hold every job to a high standard — because a job isn’t done until your property looks better than when we arrived.
It depends on your municipality, some cities require a permit for removing certain tree species or trees above a certain size, especially on public boulevards. We can help you determine what's needed for your specific property and location.
Signs like large dead branches, fungus growth at the base, leaning, or hollow sections often indicate a tree is beyond saving. Our certified arborists can assess your tree and give you an honest recommendation, whether that's removal, pruning, or simply monitoring it over time.
For full-service removals, we haul away all wood and debris as part of the job. If you'd like to keep the wood for firewood, just let us know, and we're happy to leave it on-site for you.
This type of removal requires specialized training and equipment, which is exactly what our certified arborists are trained for. We never recommend attempting this yourself, and we always coordinate carefully around utility lines to keep the job safe.
For routine, non-urgent removals, we recommend scheduling a few weeks ahead, especially during busier seasons like spring and after major storms. For emergencies, we're available 24/7 and can typically respond the same day
Our team takes precautions to minimize impact on surrounding grass, gardens, and hardscaping, using mats or planks in sensitive areas when needed. We also do a full clean-up after every job so your property looks its best when we're done.
While we can give a rough idea over the phone, we always recommend an on-site visit for an accurate quote, since tree size, condition, and accessibility all affect pricing. The good news is our estimates are always free.
First, make sure everyone is safe and stay away from the tree, especially if it's near power lines. Then give us a call — we offer 24-hour emergency service and can assess the situation and begin safe removal as quickly as possible.
We know that hiring a tree service is a big decision, especially if it involves an emergency or a hazard on your property. That’s why we’ve put together answers to the questions we hear most often from homeowners and businesses across Southeast Wisconsin. From pricing and scheduling to what to expect on the day of service, we want you to feel informed and confident before you even pick up the phone. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, our team is just a call away and happy to walk you through it.
